Due to the demographic changes, Alzheimer and dementia are increasing. The care of older persons with dementia is often characterized by excessive demands which can lead to elder abuse. This folder gives an overview of the disease and shows the coherence between the consequences of the Alzheimer disease, the excessive demands on care givers, the lack of information and elder abuse which can cause abuse.
